Greeting, Leaf explorers!

I've always loved reading and being outdoors (bonus points if I could be doing both at the same time!) and Leaf Explorers is a passion project derived from exactly that.

In 2019, I lost my father unexpectedly to Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and when my mom passed away in February 2021 due to a rare form of cancer, I knew I had to honor both of them in the best that I could: with connecting people together and giving the gift of reading, learning and nature in one!

Leaf Explorers (An homonym - play off a "Leaf" or "Page" in a book and a "Leaf" in nature - alongside, you can explore both books and nature at the same time) is an interactive reading adventure for families ages 1 to 105 (if you're 106+ that's totally fine too!). We have created a subscription box system (different boxes for different reading ages) that will get families reading and venturing! Our goal is to get families reading together and get families outdoors in a fun way for both parties. We want families to learn together, to laugh together, to read together, and to venture together.

With fourteen years of hospitality experience on my resume (including marketing, social media management, revenue, R&D, and sales), I knew that if I put my head and heart in the game (with helping hands and minds alongside) that Leaf Explorers could become a wonderful company and brand that supports families along their journey of reading and adventuring. Our family (my husband, Josh and son, Gareth) love reading, adventuring, and spending time as a family together and we hope that our boxes and books will inspire you as well!
